Enjoyed a great day of rest today at the coastal town of Clacton-on-Sea with @RestorativeTreacle. Despite the wind, cold, rain and grey skies I was able to walk a lot and recover from my recent training load. The seafront is also the location of my upcoming race (goo.gl/5Kws68). Do you have a place of recuperation? • Photo of @GroundedRunner by @RestorativeTreacle.
With one eye on my upcoming race I reduced my pace and mileage this week. I enjoyed three rest days (including a visit to the location of my race), lead another four coaching sessions (helping one runner achieve a new 5km personal best) and complimented my training with recreational cycling of over 11 miles.
Fantastic running session this morning with @BITBloodstream. She ran quality 50m and 100m repeats on grass with walking recoveries. Focused on lifting knees and running light and springy. #Coach pic.twitter.com/DoQGy36j61

I accumulated almost 17.8 miles (over 2 hours) in four days. Although not a lot compared to previous weeks I wanted to ensure I am fully fit for my race next Sunday.
